Hi.

Playgrounds, spraygrounds, and pools are a fun way to get Moms and kids out of the house and in the sunshine. Long Island has a multitude of fantastic playgrounds for residents and guests to enjoy.

Washington Ave Park

Washington Ave Park

This park has a playground, exercise path, and sunken baseball fields. This is a personal favorite of my family.

Playground isn't new but is well-maintained. There are separate big kid and little kid play systems and swings with wood chip ground.

Tall trees cover the entire play areas with shade, enough that sunscreen is not needed. There are bathrooms and a concession stand (not usually open) next to the parking lot.

Added bonus, the park is next to a Dairy Barn and convenience store so you can easily pick up a cup of coffee or gallon of milk.

GOOD FOR: Shade on a sunny day or blanket picnics.

BEST FEATURE: Tall trees that provide shade and feel like a real park. You are apt to see and hear birds.

YOU SHOULD KNOW: The play area isn't fenced in completely so the kids can run to the exercise loop in the back or down the hill to the fields. Not unsafe but moreso out of view.

WORTH A LONG TRIP: No
