This playground can be seen from the street and directly in front of a small beach. While the playground is older, it is well-maintained and has some unique features that will delight little and big kids. It completed fenced in with gates that close. This is advantageous as the beach is just a few yards from the playground.
Much of the big kid playground is elevated high so there are lots of under areas which provides imaginary play and shade. There are cool features like an offset, maroon ladder, monkey bars, bridges, and an elevated gazebo. You'll find tube slides and wavy slides, and small slides for very little kids. There are several swings which are all set very low so even little kids can get on and off easily (makes it a bit tough to push thought).
The ground is sand. In the off season there was a port-a-potty that was exceptionally clean. In fact, the play area was very clean, both the sand and the play sets. Even the half bubbles were actually transparent and graffiti-free.
BEST FEATURE: The huge, maroon climbing ladder. The kids loved it and many can play on it at once. It's big and challenging but not too challenging.
GOOD FOR: Letting the kids run off energy before or during a tour of the vineyards. Many wineries are family-friendly. This is a place to reward good behavior or take a break.
YOU SHOULD KNOW: The playground is at a gorgeous beach and during the season, there is a charge. Guest permits are $20 a day. Better to check out this playground when it's free in the off season or after hours. We went in February and it was free.
WORTH A LONG DRIVE: Yes, it is older but has unique and fun parts to this large playground.
