Hi.

Playgrounds, spraygrounds, and pools are a fun way to get Moms and kids out of the house and in the sunshine. Long Island has a multitude of fantastic playgrounds for residents and guests to enjoy.

Senator Speno Memorial Park Playground

This is a large and fun playground made up of a big kid section and little kid section and separate swing sets. It is fenced in with one entrance.

The big kid area consists of a long balance beam, monkey bars, slides of different heights, a realistic rock climb, and a metal climbing ribbon. The little kid area has several bouncy ducks, smaller slides, a play booth, and tic-tac-toe. Moms can walk or push strollers around the inside circle surrounding the big kid section.

The ground beneath most of the playground areas are wood chips. There are no restrooms within view of the playground but there is a building at the corner of the parking lot.

BEST FEATURE: Tall climbing ribbon.

GOOD FOR: Kids in a group of different ages.

YOU SHOULD KNOW: There is a nice picnic area with an awning, great for picnicking.

WORTH A LONG DRIVE: No, while the playground is nice it's likely not very different than a park closer to you.
