Hi.

Playgrounds, spraygrounds, and pools are a fun way to get Moms and kids out of the house and in the sunshine. Long Island has a multitude of fantastic playgrounds for residents and guests to enjoy.

Rose Street Neighborhood Playground

Rose Street Neighborhood Playground

This is a neighborhood playground, tucked inside the huge Massapequa Park residential area.

The playground has two high slides, eight swings, two faux rock climbs, hanging handles, and circular monkey bars. The area is fenced in with two openings to the street a good distance from the play area. Behind the playground is a huge, sunny lawn which is perfect for tag or soccer.

The playground is faded but in good condition except for the wood chip grounds which are overgrown with grass.  There are no restrooms.

GOOD FOR: Locals taking a walk with kids.

BEST FEATURE: Tall slide that ends high off the ground, ejecting the kids with a safe surprise.

YOU SHOULD KNOW: Between the grass and overgrown wood chips, it's hard to push a stroller around here. Also, there is little seating for Moms.

WORTH A LONG TRIP: No, but worth a short trip.
