Robbins Community Park Playground
Driving into the park and gym center, the playground is located on the left side. There are two, a little kid and big kid, both fenced in with closed gates. There are picnic tables next to the facility with bathrooms. Soccer fields and an area to run are right next to the playgrounds. Both playgrounds look brand new. There's a middle sitting area for moms. There's a chatty culture here so you're likely to get engaged in conversation.
The little kid playground is cute. There is a ladder-like feature and a walk-up slide. There are smaller slides and a pole with slots to climb up. The big kid feature has bigger features and monkey bars. There are twisty ladders and faux rock climbs. The kids had a blast here.
BEST FEATURE: The winding giant yellow banana-like feature that the kids never saw before and used their imagination to figure out how to use.
GOOD FOR: Picnicking, playing, and running on the sports fields. There's a nearby Bounce! trampoline park that's a fun spot to visit together.
YOU SHOULD KNOW: The LIRR train tracks are 15 feet from the big kid playground. It's completely safe because of the elevation, trees, and fence. It's very loud, enough to possibly be scary for sensitive kids.
WORTH A LONG TRIP: Yes. It's a nice and clean playground that's got fun features.
