Hi.

Playgrounds, spraygrounds, and pools are a fun way to get Moms and kids out of the house and in the sunshine. Long Island has a multitude of fantastic playgrounds for residents and guests to enjoy.

Point Lookout Park Playground

This playground is at the end of the main strip at Point Lookout, just beyond the gates. You'll see a beautiful view of the water straight ahead and the playground on the right side. Parking is available close at the baseball fields.

The equipment looks brand new. The big kid section has a large rock climb, a rope climb, and spinning cups. There is very tall slide that carries kids quite fast with some shade underneath. The little kid section also has a slide and rock climb on a smaller scale. There is a brightly colored playhouse and seesaw.

The ground is wood chips and difficult for a stroller. The playground is completely fenced in and the big and little kid sections are separated with more fence.  Restrooms are across the road, adjacent to the baseball field.

GOOD FOR: Probably is great at sunset when it's cooler. There are big sky views and the sunset light is beautiful, I bet.

BEST FEATURE: The blue web swing which is probably not meant for a baby seat but was fun nonetheless. My son loved the shaded, green "hammock".

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: There is absolutely no shade and it can feel very hot in the midday sun. The little bit of seating is out in the sun as well.

WORTH A LONG DRIVE: Yes it's a cute destination but note it's not overly large.
