Hi.

Playgrounds, spraygrounds, and pools are a fun way to get Moms and kids out of the house and in the sunshine. Long Island has a multitude of fantastic playgrounds for residents and guests to enjoy.

Pine Acres Playground

Pine Acres Playground

This playground is unique and partly shady with large tent tops for shade about the sections. It is completely fenced in, which is needed because the playground is surrounded by two very busy streets. Despite that, the landscaping provides privacy and gives a woodsy atmosphere. The equipment appears fairly new and well-maintained.

There is one large play section with unique features and something in every corner. There is a balance beam, four swings, bridges, a rope web, and a roller slide. There is a sway booth where my kids had a fun time playing "diner".

There is rubber ground  and the restrooms are outside the fence, right beside the playground. The concession stand is outside the play area facing the baseball fields. The concession air conditioner unit is next to the picnic tables and can be loud.

GOOD FOR: Climbers and kids who like to pretend.

BEST FEATURE: The sway booth which can hold multiple kids.

YOU SHOULD KNOW: Parking for the park is across the street. You'll have to cross Pine Aces Blvd which is slightly busy.

WORTH A LONG DRIVE: Yes
