Hi.

Playgrounds, spraygrounds, and pools are a fun way to get Moms and kids out of the house and in the sunshine. Long Island has a multitude of fantastic playgrounds for residents and guests to enjoy.

Phelps Lane Park Playground

This huge and new playground is at the back of the parking lot, past the pool complex. It has a great pirate ship theme with fake cannons, a crow's nest, bridges, wheel, and platforms of various heights. The playground consists of an enormous big kid play section, large little kid section, a whimsical music divider and rope climb play section. There are multiple slides, a realistic rock climb, and of course swings. My kids' favorite feature is the roller slide.

The restrooms are located right behind the playground, within sight. The ground of all the sections is rubber. Bring your lunch and sit down at the huge picnic table area in the shade! Also, kids can bring a scooter or bike and ride around on the paths.

GOOD FOR: Meeting up with friends with kids of all ages.

BEST FEATURE: The gorgeous view of the lake and fountain. A bonus is that the lake is completely fenced off so you don't have to worry about the little ones.

YOU SHOULD KNOW: There is a camp here 9am-12noon in the summertime.

WORTH A LONG DRIVE: Yes
