Hi.

Playgrounds, spraygrounds, and pools are a fun way to get Moms and kids out of the house and in the sunshine. Long Island has a multitude of fantastic playgrounds for residents and guests to enjoy.

Pacific Playground

Pacific Playground

This park is just off the beach, east of the start of the boardwalk.

Playground is medium-sized with fairly new looking equipment. There are some swings and a great web feature. There is a colorful climbing screen and nice sized slides.

There is pure sun on the play areas but shade provided for the sitting area. There is a nice breeze from the beach. Definitely don't forget the sunscreen. There are no restrooms but there is usually a port-a-potty.

The ground is sand and soft. It tires the kids out. Bring pails and shovels.

GOOD FOR: Fun in the sun and bringing kids of different ages.

BEST FEATURE: There is a path around the playground for the kids to run or Moms to push a stroller and get exercise.

YOU SHOULD KNOW: There is no parking so you have find a spot on the street. This is difficult on weekends and prime summer weekdays. Also, the playground is hot and there are no water fountains. Bring your own water (BYOW).

WORTH A LONG DRIVE: Yes, if you go to the beach too.
