Hi.

Playgrounds, spraygrounds, and pools are a fun way to get Moms and kids out of the house and in the sunshine. Long Island has a multitude of fantastic playgrounds for residents and guests to enjoy.

The pool complex is the last set of buildings on the right side (behind the ice arena). This pool is no frills and basically all concrete. There is a snack bar and large restroom areas inside the pool complex.

The large baby pool is shaped like a giant "8". It is 8-10 inches with two islands. The islands and floor of the pool is covered in a mat that provided grip and cushioning for feet and hands. There's not much of a view but there is room for strollers and chairs in the shade. While the pool can fill up on the afternoon, there aren't much obstructions so it's quite easy to watch the kids. Toys are allowed in the pool. Some lifeguards are very strict about sitting and walking on the islands which seems unnecessary and can be annoying for Moms to enforce.

The larger pool has two shallower ends, a middle deeper end, swim lanes, and three diving boards. There is plenty of shade and chairs. There is also a lot of concrete space between the pool and the chairs (ripe for kids to run through) and the lifeguards are strict about running.

GOOD FOR: More relaxing day at the kiddie pool with fewer droves of camp kids.

BEST FEATURE: The simplicity of two pools and nothing else.

YOU SHOULD KNOW: There can be green flies by the diving board area that really sting.
