Hi.

Playgrounds, spraygrounds, and pools are a fun way to get Moms and kids out of the house and in the sunshine. Long Island has a multitude of fantastic playgrounds for residents and guests to enjoy.

Lake Ronkonkoma County Park

Lake Ronkonkoma County Park

This playground is just one major section and a long set of swings. It is visible from the parking lot off Ronkonkoma Avenue. The playground is completely fenced in with a gate that can close.

The playground has two sets of double metal slides and a metal corkscrew slide which can get hot. There is a tunnel, lots of high and low platforms, ladders, and monkey bars. While not brand new, it's in great condition and was clean.

The rubber tiled ground gives this playground a quirky Alice in Wonderful feel. The restrooms are located outside the fence, within view. Bring the sunscreen, there is no shade.

BEST FEATURE: The two bus fronts where kids can pretend to drive.

GOOD FOR: You kids who like to play pretend. It's also easy for parents who want to be on the equipment with the kids.

YOU SHOULD KNOW: We were hot. There isn't much shade and the playground is fully exposed. The great expanse of fields with the rubber ground make it feel quite hot.

WORTH A LONG DRIVE: No, the playground is not that big and has typical features. There isn't a view of the lake from here.
