Hi.

Playgrounds, spraygrounds, and pools are a fun way to get Moms and kids out of the house and in the sunshine. Long Island has a multitude of fantastic playgrounds for residents and guests to enjoy.

Kennedy Memorial Park

Kennedy Memorial Park

Half of this playground (big kid side) is brand new and fabulous. There are tunnels made from seemingly felled logs, interesting slides with rollers, and awesome climbing features. There are interesting little details such crawling ants and caterpillars all over the play section. On the little kid side there are some slides and ladders. In between the two sections there are a few swings.

There's a little bit of shade but not much so bring the sunscreen. Next to the playground are some open lawns and baseball fields. The ground is rubber. There may be restrooms in the adjacent building but there isn't obvious signage.

GOOD FOR: Rewarding your kids after spending some time at the nearby Town of Hempstead Town Hall.

BEST FEATURE: The rock climb wall, shaped like a wave.

YOU SHOULD KNOW: The surrounding area is a little depressing.

WORTH A LONG DRIVE: No. The equipment is nice but the park and area aren't great.
