Hi.

Playgrounds, spraygrounds, and pools are a fun way to get Moms and kids out of the house and in the sunshine. Long Island has a multitude of fantastic playgrounds for residents and guests to enjoy.

Greis Park Playground

Greis Park Playground

This is a large, fenced-in playground and has a cozy neighborhood feel. The big and little sections are separated and there are two units per section. There are diverse climbing options that will certainly interest kids. There is a rock walk, twisted bars, and winding stairs. The equipment is colorful and clean.

The ground is rubber and well-maintained. The bathrooms are a bit far in the rec center which is a walk past the pool entrance. The people were friendly here.

The park is large and has lots of activities to offer. There are a lot of picnic tables in shade for a great lunch and break from the playgrounds.

BEST FEATURE: There are numerous slides and the big kid section has very tall slides that delighted my boys.

GOOD FOR: A nice sunny afternoon when you are looking to have a picnic and spend a long day in the park. Afterward you can treat the kids to homemade doughnuts at Doughology.

YOU SHOULD KNOW: The nearby pool and the sprayground are for Lynbrook residents but I heard they aren't strict about the letting kids into the spray area. The spray area is free (you don't have to pay for the pool to enter it).

WORTH A LONG DRIVE: Sure. It's large and my kids didn't want to leave.
