Hi.

Playgrounds, spraygrounds, and pools are a fun way to get Moms and kids out of the house and in the sunshine. Long Island has a multitude of fantastic playgrounds for residents and guests to enjoy.

Duckpond Dr Playground

Duckpond Dr Playground

This playground is located behind Cherrywood Shopping center but cannot be accessed from the parking lot (you'll have to follow the local streets around). The play area is fenced in with one entrance that can be closed.

The ground below the play areas are wood chips with some surrounding grass. The playground appears older but well-maintained. Kids will like the two bowl elements on the little kid side where they can pretend to cook. My kids made a "salty orange soup" and I overheard other kids making "organic soup, made with teamwork".

This is a hot, sunny playground so bring the sunscreen. There are open lawns surrounding the play area as well as basketball courts. There are no restrooms available.

GOOD FOR: Rewarding your kids after shopping at Ivarone Bros or other stores in the Cherrywood Shopping Center.

BEST FEATURE: The two large bowls and counter where kids can pretend to cook and own a restaurant.

YOU SHOULD KNOW: You can park on the street.

WORTH A LONG DRIVE: No
