Hi.

Playgrounds, spraygrounds, and pools are a fun way to get Moms and kids out of the house and in the sunshine. Long Island has a multitude of fantastic playgrounds for residents and guests to enjoy.

Colonial Springs Park

Colonial Springs Park

This playground is colorful and appears almost brand new, straight past the parking lot and tennis & basketball courts.

Equipment includes a diner-like booth that see-saws, monkey bars, faux rock climb, and tub sections suspended by ropes. There are fabric canopies that provide some shade. There are also some swings.

The ground is rubber and a cheery, light blue. Bathrooms are located near the parking lot.

BEST FEATURE: The woodsy feel. There is a preserve to the side of the property. There is also a garden loop to walk and some nearby pretty landscaping.

GOOD FOR: Letting the kids run around, whether on the playground or in the surrounding land. The sloped landings instead of steps make this playground very accessible.

YOU SHOULD KNOW: It's in the middle of nowhere. Bring your own water and snacks because you can't pick up anything nearby.

Worth a long drive: Yes, it's cute. But not too long a drive.
