Hi.

Playgrounds, spraygrounds, and pools are a fun way to get Moms and kids out of the house and in the sunshine. Long Island has a multitude of fantastic playgrounds for residents and guests to enjoy.

The playground and sprayground are right off the parking lot within view. The sprayground is a simple circle with two powerful sprays. The whole area is fenced in with a green path around the sprinklers with seating for Moms. We saw kids running and sliding here as if it were a Slip & Slide.

The playground is located to the right of the sprinklers with separate big and little kid sections. The big kid section has a number of fun features such as the waterfall slide, spiderweb, and bike pedals. There are tube and metal slides as well as swings. The little kid section is nicely separated from the big kid side. It's cute with a mesh tunnel and bouncy characters.

The ground is a mix of rubber, wood chips, asphalt pathways, and lawns. Restrooms are located in the administration building at the entrance of the park.

GOOD FOR: Cooling down on a hot day and playing in a partly shady playground.

BEST FEATURE: Sprinkler area with the wide surrounding path with seating.

YOU SHOULD KNOW: There were a lot of yellow jackets in the sprinkler area, despite that it was clean with no food or drinks. Also, this park get crowded with camp kids during the week.

WORTH A LONG DRIVE: Yes, the park has a lot to offer.
