Hi.

Playgrounds, spraygrounds, and pools are a fun way to get Moms and kids out of the house and in the sunshine. Long Island has a multitude of fantastic playgrounds for residents and guests to enjoy.

Clark Street Playground

Clark Street Playground

This playground is out of the way but worth the trip down one-way streets on the bay side of Long Beach.  It feels like a fantastic secret though is well-known enough by the locals to fill up a bit.

Playground is large and seems fairly new. There are separate big kid and little kid play systems and swings with rubber ground.

Spray area is separate and cute. Kids can touch the black top of the pole at the entrance to turn on the spray timer and the fountains/showers go off and on unexpectedly.

Though there is almost no shade, there is a nice breeze off the bay which can feel cool. Don't forget the sunscreen. There are restrooms near the spray area.

GOOD FOR: Getting wet on a hot day

BEST FEATURE: Giant robe web for climbing

YOU SHOULD KNOW: The parking area is small and can fill up on sunny, hot days.

WORTH A LONG DRIVE: Yes

ADDRESS: 100 Clark Street Long Beach NY 11561
