This pool at the back of the parking lot has all the frills. You'll find a kiddie pool, training pool (2-3 feet), two water slides, a separate diving area and regular pool, and sprayground. This is great because it allows the littler kids to be separated from the older and often wilder kids. The sprayground is on the smaller side but the kids love all the levers and sprayers. All water feature are constant so there aren't any surprise features that some kids hate.
Comparatively, Wantagh Pool has all the same stuff but in a more spread out area and larger (better) sprayground and larger kiddie pool.
There is some seating under several square awnings but it is not as abundant as at Newbridge Pool. The surrounding trees with cheerful birds remind that you are in a park. There is concession and restrooms.
As this is Nassau County-run, the cost is $8 for adults $6 for children (4-17 years of age) who are residents. To be considered a resident you must have a Leisure Pass. Non-residents pay considerably more at $25 for adults and $20 for children. If you don't have one, you can get a Leisure Pass right at this park in the Administration Building.
GOOD FOR: Spending a large chunk of time at the pool.
BEST FEATURE: Colorful sprayground and close proximity to each different area.
YOU SHOULD KNOW: It can get crowded on the weekends by 12:30 but it's empty if you get there early at 10. Also camps can fill it up 12-3 during the week.
