Hi.

Playgrounds, spraygrounds, and pools are a fun way to get Moms and kids out of the house and in the sunshine. Long Island has a multitude of fantastic playgrounds for residents and guests to enjoy.

Brady Park Playground

Brady Park Playground

This playground is brand new and really nice. Park on Lake Shore Drive or access it from walking through the lakeside preserve trail. The lake is beautiful and visible from the playground but there is a fence to contain the kids. It is situated between the basketball courts and baseball field. The playground will appeal to young to mid ages.

The play area contains 8 swings, a rock climb, bar pull, a geo-dome climber. There are bridges, keyboard-like element (that still work well!), and small slides. Added bonus, the LIRR runs by every now and then which awes the kids.

There are no restrooms available and the ground is rubber. There are many picnic tables and a pavilion behind the playground, all in a shady area. The many trees make this park feel very woodsy and cool.

GOOD FOR: Picnic lunch in the park with friends.

BEST FEATURE: The spinning top that seats several kids at once. Also the view of the lake.

YOU SHOULD KNOW: There is a outdoor stage nearby that the kids can be annoyingly curious of and climb on. It's so high that the kids would get hurt from jumping off however.

WORTH A LONG DRIVE: Yes, but only if you want to walk or bike the gorgeous nature preserve (Bethpage Bikeway) too.
