Belmont Lake State Park Playground
These two playgrounds are located to the left side of the parking lot, directly past the entrance booth.
The big kid playground side has three very large and tall slides that dump the kids onto the ground quite fast to their delightful surprise. There are monkey bars and smaller slides as well. Here, there are three areas which likely had swings but are currently missing.
The little kid playground is very cute with an educational theme and gardens. You'll see signs with facts about bugs, butterflies, bees, and ants. Even the equipment reflects that theme with a caterpillar climber, a ladybug, and a dragon fly see saw. There are two sets of swings and drums, as well as two play sections with slides and stairs. It's a truly bright and unique playground.
Both playgrounds have rubber ground. Restrooms are located between the two playgrounds. Note, they are quite smelly and damp.
The vehicle fee is $8 during prime day times but you don't have to pay after 5pm.
GOOD FOR: A nice family day at the park.
BEST FEATURE: The see saw dragon fly which holds at least four kids. Also, the view of the lake is so pretty.
YOU SHOULD KNOW: It can get very crowded on the weekends.
